The following was passed on to me via e-mail:
Corrales Historical Society 2009 Speaker Series
invites you to attend:

Michelle McCaulley,
speaking on the Rio Grande Basin Bat Project
Thursday, October 29th @ 7:00pm
Old San Ysidro Church @ 966 Old Church Road (Corrales, New Mexico)

Event is free and open to the public. No reservations required.

Halloween is just around the corner, and so is a very interesting speaker who will dispel misconceptions and intrigue you with fascinating facts about… bats!

Among other subjects, Ms. McCaulley of the Rio Grande Basin Bat Project will speak on the concept and conservation of bats and bat habitats as a natural biological alternative to pesticides. Since 2002, this non-profit organization has worked with the Bat World Sanctuary and is a permitted bat rehabilitation project in New Mexico.
