Buffalo Soldiers' Remains Reburied in Santa Fe

KOB TV had two news reports about three Baffalo Soldiers remains that were reburied in Santa Fe. Their remains were discovered after an investigation was done about looting of a cemetary near Ft. Craig, and a subsequent excavation was performed.

Crypto Jews Redux

Back in October of last year, I posted a link about "The 'Secret Jews' of San Juan Valley" (by Jeff Wheelwright) as it was posted on the Smithsonian Magazine website. I had a request to post it again. Therefore, follow this link to read the article.

New Mexico Crypto Jews and Cancer Risk

Tonight, KRQE TV News presented the story "Hidden Heritage Exposes Cancer Risk". The story includes interviews with people who believe to have a crypto-Jewish heritage, and some who carry a cancer gene that is potentially deadly. It includes an interview with New Mexico historian Stanley Hordes.

The children of activist Reies Lopez Tijerina are asking the federal government to return property to descendants of grantees of Spanish and Mexican land grants. Who will discuss the

New Mexico DNA Project:
The Franks’ Connection to New Mexican Families



In Part II of an ongoing series, Mr. Cervantes will explore the connection between certain New Mexican families and the Franks of Western Europe. Cervantes will show a short film that will trace the history of the Franks, a Germanic people that conquered France in the 5th Century. He will then discuss which families show the markers that are most identified with this tribe.

The program will begin promptly at 10:30 AM, so please do not be late.
